Hi ladies, my husband and I are just beginning TTC. I had a dr. visit and was updated on all my shots as well as began taking prenatal vitamens as I tend to be low on iron. One thing the dr said that has me worried is that he is concerned about my degenerative disc disease. I have vertabrae that have fused together as well as a herniated disc. Long story short, I've had several years of phsycial therapy and am finally pain free for the most part. I just wondered if there are drs. that specialize in pregnancy, labor, etc...of women with back trouble?
i am not a newlywed nor TTC but i saw your post and had to respond. i have the samething in 3 places in my back and while i was pregnant with DD it was painful. i highly suggest you get a chiropractor throughout your pregnancy-i didnt and it was a big mistake. also, dont do anything strenuous no matter how well you feel. there was a point i felt great and all of the sudden it hit me and i couldnt move - at the time DF had to help me down the stairs to sit down it was bad. i know hot showers helped me alot, and i was pregnant through the summer so i would get in the pool and it realized alot of pressure! so just try to take it easy, and be aware that the slighest thing can trigger pain. afterall you are putting alot more weight on your spine than its used too, and most OBGYN cater to your needs no matter what they are. there are wonderful pain killers out there when your in labor that help! good luck with TTC
I make my own siggys!
