One of my dad's huskies was rushed to the Animal ER this morning, and it's not looking good. He adopted two of them from a rescue a few years ago and they are inseparable. Apparently there was some sort of blockage that caused a rupture, which is leaking poison into his stomach. It's life threatening and not correctable. I feel just awful - for my dad, stepmom and for Nikita (the other dog). She'll be completely lost with out Salem.
This is the worst part about having pets - and he's not even mine.
They had to have him put to sleep. They could have TRIED a surgery that was over $10,000, but they said there was a less than 1% chance of it working, and my dad doesn't have that kind of money, unfortunately. He called me, crying his eyes out. I feel just awful. I don't know what to say or do to make them feel better.
