I had cycle monitoring this morning and I have 12 antral follies on the left and 11 on the right. My corpus luteum is still hanging around on the right ovary from last cycle but it's shrinking. It was only 0.8cm.

RE dropped some news on me - she mentioned that back when my DH did his SA 6 months ago, he tested positive for ureaplasma. This is a small bacteria that some studies have found linked with infertility and miscarriage! I tested negative for it at the time but it gets passed back and forth between partners so who knows. I must have had it at some point kwim? Anyways we're both on antibiotics for a week to clear it up so hopefully that helps.

RE is trying to push for IUI for next cycle if this one doesn't work out but I'm not into it. I don't know why. I don't have an issue with others doing it, but I'm not ready yet, especially since I know I can get pregnant. And hopefully these antibiotics will help.

Oh man, I'm glad they caught it and I hope that the antibiotics will get rid of it! How crazy!

Thanks Shasta.
This really hit me by surprise. I mean I guess it shouldn't, since this infection usually has no symptoms. I would recommend everyone who has had a loss or having trouble getting pregnant to get tested. Though apparently the tests for this give a lot of false negatives so maybe it's worth it to do the antibiotics anyways just in case. This is very dangerous even to a full term pregnancy. So scary!

I am sorry Judy!!!! I saw your response in your journal but I am just going to answer here. I hope the antibiotics clear everything up!!! I understand your hesitance with IUI. Have you and DH discussed a timeline? I am keeping everything crossed for you!

DH doesn't have a problem with doing an IUI but I don't want to yet. So we haven't discussed a timeline. SPeaking of DH, when we found out the last cycle was a bust, the first thing he said was "do you wanna do that thing where they put my sperm in your egg?" lol it was sooo cute
