Oh ladies, I'm a little upset. Last time I was pregnant with Brynlee, I bought some generic prenatals at CVS to take until I got a script from the OB. Well, I still have a ton left, so I went to take some and what do I notice?

AN EXPIRATION DATE OF JULY 2009!

***?!? I didn't get my BFP with Brynlee til August 16th! Why were they selling expired pills?

I was planning on getting some new pills this time around until I can get in to see someone, but holy crap! This is ridiculous.

Wow...well a lot of meds are perfectly fine after the sell-by-date, so I'm sure they were okay at the time too...well look at Bryn--she's healthy as a horse (Praise the Lord) and a happy girl...but I would buy new ones this time around.

I did, but I was just confused about the date. I didn't even think to look when I bought them

You know, the same thing happened with peanut butter crackers I bought over the weekend.

They expired on Nov. 30th. But I'm still eating them. LOL.

It's just another thing we need to program into our busy brains--check expiration dates...ah!

and i'm sorry about the vitamins! Its probably just one of those things that they have to put on there but is actually fine. LIke milk has the "sell by" date but its still okay for a few days after

Sam, peanut butter does go bad. Not in a you're going to die if you eat it kind of way, but it definitely doesn't taste good after the expiry date.

I went to get Mylanta for Mason at CVS. I got all the way to the checkout and waited in line for 15 minutes and then I flipped the bottle over and saw the date- It expired in 2009 so I had to go back and start all over again. It's annoying and since he was having screaming fits with his stomach I definitely wanted some fresh stuff

Generally though expired meds are good for up to 2 years past their date.
