AMC's final episode aired today. Who watched? I haven't watched in probably a year, but I DVR'd it...

I'm so terribly sad. I've watch this show for over 30 years.

I haven't watched it yet and I'm a couple of days behind so I'll watch it all over the weekend.

I do have to say that if they had written the show all along the way they wrote the last 3 months, the show wouldn't have been canceled.

Oh & the original Ruth passed away in real life

I hadn't watched it regularly in years. But I did DVR the last episode. And cried through the sentimental scenes. I hated the way they ended it though.

I figured Ruth must've died. She was absent for quite awhile and then I noticed the different actress on the last episode.

I hated the ending too!

The original Ruth hasn't been on AMC for years - Just looked it up & she retired in 1996. She passed away on September 8.

Lee Meriwether has played Ruth since 1996.

I hated the ending. I have been watching regular for about 10 years now but this ending was bad

I'm thinking it was left open to get people to watch the online show.

Does anyone know when that's supposed to start?

OM G I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hated the ending. I watched the whole week and loved it till then. I cried, I laughed, I screamed and got all sorts of emotional. I was so let down by the final episode that I was angry. I'm hoping they left it open for the online episodes. If not...I will truly be very disappointed.
