Big DAYS News!
Christie Clark (Carrie) and Austin Peck (Austin) are the latest victims of budget cuts at DAYS. The popular pair received their notice and will be leaving the show.

~~This is official news per, SOD!! I can't believe Sami is going to lose Austin AGAIN! I hate Carrie!!!!!!!

I have *never* understood why they brought back these two BORING characters.

Carcus has proved that once a cheating adulterer, always a cheating adulterer. How disgusting is it that she cheated on Lucas the very next evening after their wedding????

Yawnstin has proved that he really *IS* the biggest hypocrit in town. He condemned Sami for years for trying to break up people to get what she wanted. Yet the night after his brother married Carcus, just 3 hours after PROPOSING to Sami, he's sleeping with Carcus on the TABLECLOTH where he just served Sami dinner!

Sick. Any possible liking I had for Yawnstin and Carcus was gone with that disgusting display on the roof.

ITA with that. Austin and Carrie are both hypocrites and for once, I think Sami and Lucas deserve better than them two!

They just came back! They cant leave now! Even though, I dont like seeing Sami with Austin. I like her with Lucas.

Well, truth be told, NBC is in trouble financially with their daytime lineup. Passions is consistantly at the bottom of the ratings and DAYS has lost viewers thanks to JER. They have fixed that problem and hired a new writer, but it's going to take some housecleaning to get DOOL back on track.

Additionally, I hate to say it...but to get Marybeth Evans and Stephen Nichols to reprise their roles as Kayla and Patch, probably cost some money. In a time when stars are being asked to take paycuts.....it makes no sense. FOr heavy hitters like those two, DOOL HAS to be paying a bundle.

PLUS...I can't for the life of me figure out why they hire people like James Scott to create a role like EJ, especially when his last role over on AMC never really caught on. I personally don't like the guy much and if they don't start giving us some history or something...I'm going to care less about him.

In light of all that.....there just isn't the money for everyone and some need to be cut.

Most fans..in their hearts...believe Sami belongs with Luca anyway...so sending Carrie and Austin away together makes sense I guess.

If the budget cuts are because of bringing back Steve and Kayla then do something with the storyline! It's boring!

So lets see, Carrie and Austin are going, Phillip and Mimi are going, and Jack and Jennifer are going. Is there going to be anyone left for a storyline

I know it totally sucks. I was reading the comings and goings.. I was sad to see that Shawn, Mimi, Phillip, Jack, Jennifer, Carrie, and Austin are all supposed to be going.. Shawn is just being replaced.

It is going to be weird to see what they're going to do with the storylines though.

I have to say that I think the storylines have been moving a little faster the past week. Still insanely slow in compared to the real world, but better no less. Seems like they are ready to tie up the loose ends and move on, especially since there will be a lot of cast members gone within the next month.

The Steve and Kayla storyline was moving along pretty good until the past few weeks, again, maybe due to trying to wrap things up elsewhere. Personally, I am so excited they are back. I have been waiting for this ever since his "funeral", however long ago that was, I was in middle school, lol. I just knew it would happen someday. I will be crushed if they hook him up with Billie. Looks like that is where they are headed.
