I was charting because I am off of bc for the first time in ages. I started my period on Aug 1 - Aug 5. According to Fertility Friend, my fertile days were Aug 7-10th. According to this app I have, my fertile days are Aug 16-19th. I always thought that it was the second week following your period that you generally o'ed. Fertility Friend doesn't have any more data on me than this month so there isn't a precedent already set.

Which is it? We dtd on Aug 9th and again last night (Aug 14). So really, either of these days could be "the day" if either of the sets of days above are correct. However, for purposes of testing and what not, which set of fertile days should i be looking at? I don't have anything other than these guesstimates to go by.

Thanks!!

Everyone is different. Some women ovulate early and some ovulate late. If I was in your situation, until there is more data I would go with the later ovulation dates.

Like Amee said all women ovulate at different times. It's very rare for a woman to follow the supposed 28 day cycle with ovulation occurring on the 14th day. Since this is your first chart, you need more time, usually 3 months or so, to get an understanding of when your body normally ovulates. For now I would stick with later dates as well.

Thanks! That was my first thought but I am so new to this charting thing. And new to having to worry about it!

Charting is the biggest pain in the butt. I hate it, but I love it at the same time.
