so i had the iud in for almost two year before i started having problems with bad contraction pains no one would listen or take it out so i did =( that was about two months ago last month i had two days with very light spotting and have taken two test both neg...... the last two days ive had sharp pains in my pelvic area and lower back should i go er or is this maybe my period?

I know nothing about birth control, I don't use it. If you're worried I would get yourself checked out

It might be from the mirena. I'd see your doctor, although I'd go see your general practitioner, not your ob since he/she refused to take it out. You might want to get checked to make sure that you don't have scarring or had some damage done to your uterus from the IUD.

Minena is awful. They should be taking it off the market or at least being upfront about all the horrible side effects.
