I recently thought i was pregnant but turned out not to be and while researching i decided to stop my BC pills... i have been on them for 8/9 years and we are talking about marriage and hopefully kids in the next year or 2.. i just dont want complications and i want it to be as easy as possible to get Prego

i read that it can take a long time for your body to get back to normal.. what should i expect for stopping my pills.. will my period dissapear and not show up for a month or too..how long can it take..is this a good idea to do now?

THANKS : )

Welcome!

From what I hear, you can expect to be irregular(cycles lasting several months sometimes), but some women conceive right off of it. My sister did. CP the first cycle, sticky bean the second. I hope your body recuperates quickly. =)

Hopefully you are apart of the lucky ones who's cycle comes right quickly. I, on the other hand, are not one of those! I went off in January and had AF for the first time in July. My hormones are all over the place!! My doctor said it is normal to take up to a year for our bodies to come right again.

So yeah, at the end of the day it really just depends on each person and how their body reacts. But just prepared for it to take up to a year...

Hope that helped
