So DH and I were planning on TTC in June. I planned on getting my IUD out in early May. This was centered around me training for a marathon (my first and a goal I really wanted to achieve before having a baby!). I was worried getting my IUD was really going to screw w/ my body, so I was going to wait until after the race.
But I had mixed feelings about it. I really wanted to start TTC earlier, but I wanted to meet my goal, too. Well it looks like my body has decided for me. I hurt my back training a few weeks ago, and I can't seem to get it back to normal. So I'll be dropping back to as shorter-distance race that I've done before.
At first I was disappointed, but then...I wasn't. I realized this injury could move up our TTC date!!
So my question part of this post: Did anyone have a pre-conception appt with your doc? I need to get my IUD taken out so I'm wondering if I can just do that all at once? Or is just a regular gyno appt where they tell you stuff you already know?
