1 cup sugar
1 cup cake flour
1 cup cold water
3 cups boiling water
powder paint or food colouring


mix the sugar, flour and cold water. add boiling water and cook for two to three minutes till thick. colour with paint or colouring.

Thanks for this...I am going to have to try this with my daughter...she is at the point where is likes coloring but is also coloring on the walls too.

My dd and I love to finger paint. When she was younger, I use to make her spell all kinds of things with the paint as well as the color she was using. We would count the dots and things we would make and she would tell me what she immediately thought of when I name a color. It was loads of fun and it still is!
