Hi Everyone & Thank you ever so much!
I apologize as I just now saw this. I have been working a lot lately so haven't had quite enough time to check everything out here.

A little bit about me...

-My name is Claire & I'm 30yrs
-My DH is Jayson & he's 35yrs
-We've been happily married for 5yrs
-I have 3 children (Peyton - 11yrs; Rhys - 9yrs; and Manning - 7yrs) from my previous marriage. My DH was killed in a car accident about 2 months before Manning was born.
-Jayson is my late DH's best friend & together we have 3 kids (twin girls Michelle & Natalie - 4yrs; and Garren - 2yrs)
-DH & I both work FT as paramedics but are very fortunate to be able to work opposite shifts so one of us is always home with the kids. Sadly, we don't get too much time together but we make the best of the time we do get.

As for how I do it with 6 kids...TONS of patience and an amazing DH! Without either I wouldn't be able to stay nearly as sane as I do.

Thanks for the welcome again & feel free to ask anything. It just may take a short while for me to respond.

I am Amy, DH is Zack, I am a SAHM, while he is in the Army. We have two girls...Kaylynn is 3, and Addison is 1, I must agree w/ the rest you sure do have your hands full, I see tht some of yours are a little bit older, which seems would be a little easiar...Is it?

I wish I could say it's easier with a couple being older but it's not. I think if they were all 2-4yrs old it would be easier haha The hard part is they are each at different stages of what they consider fun, and different stages of life trying to figure stuff out so it gets rather interesting at times. Trying to find family things to do sometimes is a challenge, b/c we need to find something that will appeal to everyone. Much easier said than done. One super great thing about having a couple of older ones tho is that they do help us with some of housework & things like that.

My DD (Peyton - bless her soul lol) is 11 going on 21! I always hoped she'd just skip that stage of life, but I think I'm cursed.

DH & I are lucky enough to be able to work opposite shifts so one of us is usually home with the kids. This means we sacrifice some of our together time but we make the best of the time we have together. Our boss has been pretty good about our scheduling too, so he has been trying to give us the same days off whenever possible. When the kids need a sitter, my neighbor usually watches them.

Going back to work was a big decision (and a hard one) but we knew that we both needed to work if we wanted to live our lives & raise our kids the way we do.

I agree with the spacing issue. I was 7 years older than my closest brother and 14 years older than the next brother. We were always into completely different things. That's the main reason we had ours so close

It is very nice Amy, I just hope he keeps being so nice about it.

The more I think about it, it's kind of like having 2 sets of triplets (kinda - haha). The older kids have some similar likings and then the younger ones have some as well. It's just too bad they aren't all liking something along the same lines. (That made more sense in my head than how it came out here haha Sorry)
