Hi I'm lesha, from the March 08 PR I was just stopping in to ask a question about child cameras.

My 3(will be 4 in jan) year old son, loves to pretend to take pictures with his toy camera, that makes sounds. He also enjoys looking at the pics on my digital camera after I take them.

I have seen those child tough fisher price cameras at the stores and have looked up some on the net. There are several to choose from.

Does anyone have one of these camera's? How does your toddler like it?

We have this one: Fisher-Price Kid-Tough New Digital Camera - Pink - Fisher-Price - Toys "R" Us
DD loves it! It has been dropped and thrown a number of times and still works.

Brinlee (my 5 year old) got one for Christmas a couple years ago. It's ok. I think the picture quality is crap. It eats batteries like they're candy. It's at the bottom of the toybox right now, and has been for a long time.

I haven't really had a bad time with the batteries yet but Erica is spot on about the picture quality. It's more of a toy then an actual camara that is going to take good quality pictures. DD just runs around the house with it taking pictures of random things...her finger because it's in the way...the floor because she can't aim the camara.... She likes it but if she were older I could see her getting bored of it and wanting something more grown-up with better picture quality.

I got this for Dakota for christmas, they have one at their dads house and love it. I didn't think about the battery part though, maybe I'll have to pick up some rechargeables.

My son will be 4 in Jan, Im not sure if he'd care about the pic quality so much... he'd really just be takin pics of the pets and his spiderman toys... lol he's always asking me to take a pic of his spiderman or his backpack....

Thanks so much ladies, I think I may go with the fisher price one... unless I find something else. If my oldest enjoys it, I can always get him a nicer one later on.. and my baby can play with the other... hes the destructive one.. lmao
