Hey there I'm new the the boards my names Greta and I have a 2 year old named Sage.

I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on how to properly "baby proof" My issue is little Sagie can get out of her crib at night and open doors~!!! O_o AND climb gates!!!!! I'm so afraid that she'll get out at night while I'm sleeping, climb over the gate at the top of the stairs and fall down them!!! Is there anything else I can do???? I need advice desperately before I have a heart attack at 21 O_o

A lot of input is much appreciated.

Crib tents have been used by some parents who have crib climbers so here's some information on this

Thanks for Idea on the crib tent. My only issue with that is I was hoping within the next few week for get her a twin bed since I have a 7 month old still sleeping in my room. I was hoping to have Sage used to her big girl bed so when Brie is old enough to hold her own somewhere around 1 year. I could have them share a room.

Maybe I could try the crib tent for Brie when I put them together just have to figure out a way to keep Sage in her room at night. >_<

Wishing there were more alternatives.

Welcome !Maybe you could try one of the extra high gates with the arched top for her room, or an alarmed one for the stairs?

Does your LO use something to stand on to help her climb? If so a taller gate might not make much difference. The crib net might be the best bet.
Here is the alarmed gate. Safety 1st Alarm Baby Security Gate 422500034

Thanks I didn't know they made gates with alarms.

Also on another note would it be safe to put a child proofing door knob lock on the inside of her room??? Just wondering if thats the same as locking then in. Which is what I want to avoid. I would think that would be safe enough considering we have to baby proof the whole house to keep them from getting out side right????

Some insight on that thought would be helpful.
