I need ideas of what to feed my 13 month old. a lot of toddlers get low iron. Corey only has 4 teeth, so I am going to try some meats but dont know if he will be able to chew it. dont think they are allowed to have peanut butter at this age. he is off formula now. any ideas of what else I can feed him with iron in it?

Although not all of the listed foods will be appropriate for your 13 mo old, but below are foods listed with their iron content. I also have to give my 13 mo old daughter iron rich foods and I have found that fortified cereal (golden grahams especially) is a quick, easy way to see to it she's getting plenty of iron. Best of all a lot of the boxed cerals now are whole grain! Oh, and I amost forgot.....DRIED APRICOTS (cut into bite sized peices of course)!
Hope this helps.....

Thats a great list up there, thanks!
Since my son is a super picky eater but will eat spagetti with sauce, I puree vegetables (spinach is iron rich) into the sauce so he just thinks its tomato sauce. I make him "pizza" (whole wheat tortilla with provolone cheese and the special veggie sauce) so he will eat that too.
I even got him once to eat just the sauce with a spoon and called it "soup". He only bought that once.
Kraft Super Mac & Cheese is healthy too.
Good luck to you.
