First, our bedtime routine.

Samantha does some quiet activities, like coloring or playing in her room with her dollhouses. Sometimes she chooses to watch a movie, sometimes she wants to read a book.

Charlotte either plays too or will sit in the swing. Sometimes Charlotte prefers to sit on my lap and sing songs, watch a movie or read a book.

Then teeth are brushed, diapers are changed, lotion is put on and vasoline goes on their cheeks, jammies go on. Then, kisses good night and they are tucked in bed, Samantha with her Brown Dog & Charlotte with her Laugh & Learn Piggy Bank.
But, do they go to sleep? Nope.....

Tonight:

I can not believe that I had to go into the girls' room and remove all of their toys before they would finally fall asleep at 11:30 pm! I do not get why all of a sudden for the past 3 mos they refuse to go to sleep...i thought Samantha's deal was she shouldn't take naps anymore...but that isn't helping. Charlotte is a late napper, but always has been. She usually naps from 1-4. We eat supper at 6pm. I attempt to put them to bed around 7:30-8:00.

I really think some of Samantha's problem is her ADHD, she just can not unwind enough to fall asleep until her body just crashes or she is physically forced to when she is in her car seat in the car.

I am at my wit's end with getting them to go to sleep! I am really hoping for some advice.

the only thing i can think of is music. do they go to sleep with music on? i know it has helped with Kyla. we play sleep time classical music and it is usually help triggers bed time in her.
