We're making the big transition to a toddler bed this week. For those of you who have toddlers in their own bed, what do they do when they wake up in the morning? Do they stay in their bed until you come get them or do they get out of bed and come and get you? Do they play in their room? I'm freaking out a bit because he wakes up super early but he always entertains himself in his crib until I come and get him. Now I'm wondering if he'll come get us or if he'll still stay there. Or does it depend on the kid?
I am sure it depends on the kid.... With Ryan for the first couple weeks he stayed in bed.... I don't think he understood he could get out on his own.... We have him gated in so he can get to his room and the bathroom since our bedroom is on the second floor... Now he stands by the gate and yell "Oh Mommy, Oh Daddy Time to get up" until we get downstairs. He's the best little alarm clock because he doesn't have a snooze button.
with Kyla, it took her a few weeks to realise she could come out by herself. she would wake up and call me till i came to her room.
then she realised and now she comes to my room when she wakes up, jumps into bed with me and sleeps a bit more till we all get up.
