Will you be enrolling your daughter/son when they are old enough?

I'd like DD to do Girl Scouts, I did it and loved it. I really do think it teaches great leadership skills and I had a ton of fun doing it. I have one friend who said it was pointless, all her troupe did was go on tours and learn to sew. My troupe leader was very different, we learned camping and surivial skills (and I learned I like hotels), we made a business plan to sell our cookies, she was very involved and wanted us to get as much out of our time as we could. It was a great experience. DP was a girl scout too, she didn't go as long as I did (her troupe leader moved away and the new one was kind of crappy), but she enjoyed what she did. She wants a troupe leader like I had for DD though, or she said she'd be a troupe leader. Which I think would be awesome!

All that being said, if I had a boy, I probably wouldn't put him in Boy Scouts. Too homophobic for my tastes. I'd find some other kind of scouting program to put him in.

If either of the kids are interested we'll do it but I'm pushing for 4H instead!

Thought about it,not so sure.I need to know more about it before I decide.I thought of sports too but my little man just don't seem like he would get involved.But if they make a cartoon team he would be on it!
