and he is doing well except for the poop part.

What is the trick to get them to go potty in the potty and not their pants?

I have tried candy but now he thinks he gets one when he tinkles too.

Any advice would be helpful thank you

With DD, we used smarties for pee (just for a few days) and oreos for poops. But for the first few weeks, she didn't want to poop in the potty, so she would come ask for a diaper and go to a corner to do it. I figured that was better than her going in her underwear.

How is he doing now? Any improvement? Is he still good with the pees?

Well Xander reverted back to going in his pull up but I keep telling him I am going to put him in a diaper and he gets all upset... So I say that you have to go tinkle in the potty.. this week he has been doing OK..still no poops though

It will come in due time.

MellieB have you tried a potty seat??

I potty trained my kid when he was 2 years old. He enjoys sitting in a potty a lot.
