I have a three year old son who I been trying to potty train off and on since 2 and he is showing signs that he is ready. He is aware of his number one's and two's. I take him every 30 mins then give him a sticker for the potty chart and a fruit gummy for a treat. He seems to go fine on the potty for both and we both clap with excitement. One day he is doing fine without me and other days he just goes in his underwear or on the floor. I think he has it but then I feel like I am starting all over again. What am I doing wrong?

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. I am in the same boat with my son Xander and he will be 4 in October... one day is great no accidents in his pull up and the next one he poops in it and smiles and gets all happy that he did it in his pants.

I understand the frustration of it all.. we started giving him matchbox cars when he goes #2 in the potty and I am thinking of taking one away when he goes in his pants and doing a chart as well.
