Just wondered who's tots are in a bed.
Are they good in a bed?
My DS has fallen out a few times but luckily in his sleep so his body is floppy and he don't come too til he lands on the floor bless him!!!
Do they stay in bed when put in bed ???
Mine goes through phases, for months he'll be really good and go to bed and fall asleep staright away, then he'll have a week where he will be in and out of bed til about 10ish and then he will finally go off!!!!

Raines in a bed, she does really well with it for the most part, but there is no more just putting her in the crib wether she wants to be there or not, she hops right out of the bed

Kayle is in a bed (2.5yrs) she had been having a hard time sleeping in her crib and then we went out to buy her big girl bed (baby brother on the way) we made a big deal out of it, that night she wanted to sleep in it and it solved our sleeping problems!!!! She's really good for the most part of staying in her bed, but we do have a gate at her door as she can be really sneaky! She came in our room one night and I didn't realize it until I woke up and she was asleep between my DH and I

My daughter (27 mo.) is still in a crib. Everyone has been badgering me to get her into a toddler bed, but I don't really know why I should rush. I was thinking I would wait a few more months before switching her. So far, she has been really easy to transition out of things (like taking her binkie away at 2, her bottle at 1, etc.) so I don't really think it's going to be any big deal.

Riley(26 months) is in a toddler bed and has been for about 8 months. She has only fallen out a couple of times and never gets out on her own. I do have to sit with her while she falls asleep(10 min) but than she stays in until she calls to me in the AM.

Hi I am new here but I thought I would share.
We put our son in a toddler bed when he was 15 1/2 months. First he was trying to climb out of the crib. His crib was in our bedroom. In Nov I brought out the toddler bed and started him sleeping in it. In December I had back surgery and knew I couldn't take care of him. He needed to go down to his sisters room. So when I came home from the hospital he was down there. He does fine most of the time. But in the middle of the night she often finds Joseph sleeping in her bed. She is a sound sleeper and doesn't realize he is there.

I read somewhere that as long as they are fine, leave them in the crib. It is safer and they are more contained.
DS went to a full size bed 2 weeks before he turned 2. We have bed rails on it. He love it, falls asleep just fine and naps in it. Sleeps through the night by himself 50% of the time, other time he comes in to our room and sleeps the rest of the night with us.

Nick(2) sleeps in his own bed. He does really good. Kiera(14 months) sleeps with me still, and I am in no hurry to move her.

We haven't got a gate at his door as if he comes out we just say nothing and put him back in bed, that works quite well.
I had that one night, woke up and he was fast asleep between us !!!! He wasn't amused when I stirred him to put him back in bed !!!

thank you guys for the reassurance that it's okay for me to leave my little one in her crib---it's nice to know that other mommies don't think you're a dummy

Brinlee is still in a crib and I see her being there for at least another year.... unless she finds a way to climb out first (which I highly doubt because the crib is very deep).

Not at all hun !!!!!
Like another mommy said, its safer to keep them in a cot as long as poss as they are more contained!!!
Like I said unless she starts to climb out then keep her in her cot.
Ryan was in his til he was, well he was 2 in Januaery and it was March/April time we put him in a bed.
He wasn't climing out but he didn't have space to move about in his sleep and he would keep waking up coz he couldn't turn !!!!

I only moved Raine to a bed because we moved and didn't take her crib. I like the confinement!

Moved Jamie to his toddler bed when he was 18 months, no problems from the beginning, he loves it and adapted well... he's been such an easy going baby... fingers crossed that it continues!

To combat that hun, Ryan used to keep doing that, I would take him straight back to his bed, he may not like it but will soon realise he got to stay in his own bed!!!!
I don't like the idea of him getting in with us, 1) Can't bear the thought if he were to get in without us knowing and we rolled on him and 2) once they keep doing they will never stay in there own bed!!!!
Mum had that problem with my younger sister. they had hell trying to keep her in her own bed then !!!

My little girl is in a toddler bed. She's 2.5. We moved her when she turned 2 - thought we were going to be needing her crib for the new baby. (Turns out the baby is still in our room, in a co-sleeper!)
It was entirely by accident that we got her into the bed though - I tried once or twice to entice her by putting all her favorite stuffies on it, buying a special new blanket, and putting it against the wall so it was more "cozy". She wasn't having it. Then one night her father puts her to bed - he suggests that she's a big girl now, and big girls sleep in big beds. Without any fuss, she climbs in...and has been there ever since! Sleeping all thru the night! No rolling out, no problems! Ahhh, the magic of daddy
Hoping to get her little sister into the old crib soon, but since they'll be sharing a room, I have to wait until our little one is a better sleeper. She's up so frequently I'm afraid she'd wait her elder sis and all the peace and quiet we'd gained on that front would be lost again!

I have a 23 month old and he just started sleeping in a bed this week. He did great. The first night he cried for 10 minutes and then fell asleep and slept all night. We shut his door and put a gate at the door so he can't come in our room. We have a monitor on so if he cries we will hear it and go in and check on him. He slept with us until he was 9 months old so I don't want to start the sleeping with us habit again. So far he's doing great.
