I live in Chicago with my two and half year old girl. There have been recent abduction news, let only all the gang violence, etc.I am thinking about getting a GPS device for my daughter when we go out into large crowds, or traveling around the city. Because she is under 3 and also because people just friggin take phones out of people's hand on the train and run off I am trying to find something that isn't a phone per se.

First there is Atlas Tracking which offers a watch option, that when activated dials 9-1-1 with information.

Then there is this garage door looking thing. She loves putting things in her pocket or I could give her own bag.

I found Atlas through some freebies because they are offering their services to parents free for a trail, but I am wary of free.

Any help?

I like the tracking one because it can call 911.

Me too! It is kind of hard to get the police to react to much around here, but I am glad that its another avenue to get to them, most def if the device is giving them the location!

I like the watch idea. Something in a pocket could fall out during play, or whatever. A watch would not.
