I would suggest you to use scissors. use it when the child is sleeping .If the baby is not sleeping then you will find it difficult to cut the nails. Remember don’t cut the nails too short .It may hurt the baby. They are in habit of putting their fingers in mouth so the nails should be small.
I always found it easier to use the baby clippers. My mom preferred the scissors. So it really is up to you, and what you find easiest for you and your baby. But as childtocherish mentioned, it is easiest to do while the baby is sleeping.
