Anyone can respond but I specified 12-16 months because that's the age I'm really wondering about right now.

My ds will be 1 this week. And even though I have a 6 year old, I can't seem to remember much about his eating habits at that age. We are trying to wean my 1 year old off the bottle…especially since I have another baby on the way. He only gets 1 (maybe 2) bottles a day now and he's taking regular whole milk now. He still doesn't much care for the cup but it's getting better. Here are my questions: (kind of a poll)

How old is your child?
What, when, and how much do they eat?
What is a typical eating schedule for them?
Do they take bottles? If so, how much liquid and when?
What kinds of table food do you give?

I’m wondering how much milk my ds needs at this age? If I eliminate the bottles, he’s certainly not going to get as much because he won’t drink that much out of a cup. But, I know their needs change at this time, too.

Thanks!

Phoenix is 16 months. He eats almost all day long, I'm not joking. He will eat any one out of house and home.
He gets up about 8:30 a.m. and we fix breakfast (sometimes cereal, sometimes eggs), then he snacks about 10:30 a.m., nap time is from about 12-3 p.m. depending on when I get him down, then lunch time...yes it's a late lunch, but it works. After lunch about 4-5 he snacks (Snacks are usually animal cookies, apples, something like that). Dinner is usually between 6:30-7:00 p.m. Then bedtime at 9:30 p.m.
Phoenix never really took a bottle, I nursed him for 13 months, almost exclusively. He did take a bottle if I wasn't around, but I weaned him July 2006. Actually my mom did, DH and I went on our annual canoe trip.
He usually will drink anywhere from 6-10 sippy cups a day. I try to alternate from milk, water, juice....sometimes he gets a little soda with a lot of water.
As far as foods go, he eats everything we do and has since about 8 months. I tried the graduates, he hates them.
If you emliminate the bottle, he will probably get the picture that he will need some other form of getting his liquids, and may be more apt to use a cup. What about a straw? Does he drink out of a "big" cup if there's a straw in it? I know Phoenix LOVES straws.
I hope this helps!

What, when, and how much do they eat? Breakfast: Cheerios, and usually Quaker Instant oatmeal with the fruit flavors, or yougart. Cup of milk.
Lunch: Usually try a jar of baby food if not some left overs from the night before. Milk or juice
Dinner: Whatever we are having or something else like baby food or something. Milk
She usually eats some snacks too during the day. She's a picky eater and doesn't eat as much as she should.
What is a typical eating schedule for them? Morning 8:30-9, Lunch 12-1, Dinner 6-7
Do they take bottles? If so, how much liquid and when?no bottles, probably 16 oz. of milk a day and 8 oz. of juice
What kinds of table food do you give?Just about try her on anything. She loves grilled cheese sandwiches, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, spaghetti, french fries, and fresh fruit.

My youngest, Justin, is 15 months.

He eats cheerios or oatmeal for breakfast and has a sippy of whole milk. Has a cracker or two for a snack and some juice. Then lunch- we rarely vary from mac-n-cheese, grilled cheese or chicked noodle around here- LOL and milk with that. Then a fruit for afternoon snack and some juice. Later, dinner (whatever we are having or else soup and canned veggies if it's something too hard for him to eat) and milk. And then a little bit of milk or juice about 1/2 hour before bed.

How old is your child? 15 months

What, when, and how much do they eat?
730-830 breakfast It's usually a bowl of cheerios and milk in a sippy
1030 is snack which is fruit and water
12-1 is lunch and it's usually mac & cheese or the graduates raviolis with milk and maybe some veggies
5-6 is dinner and he has mac & cheese or the raviolis (if he didnt have that for lunch) or he eats what we are eating with a cup of milk. If he seems still hungry, he gets an applesauce or a yogurt.

Do they take bottles? If so, how much liquid and when? No bottles. He drinks about 27 oz of milk a day and 4 oz of water.

What kinds of table food do you give? I think we've tried almost everything. Mashed potatoes, turkey, all veggies (can't chew corn well though), grilled cheese, jelly sandwiches...too much to name.

How old is your child? 13.5 months
What, when, and how much do they eat? I'll give you an example of his schedule yesterday:
7:30am dry cereal, oatmeal and some canned pears (we are out of fresh fruit) sippy of juice
9:30ish part of a dry bagel, more juice
11:15 PB&J, rest of pears, half string cheese cut up
12:30 bottle of milk
3ish crackers and yogurt and sippy of water
5:30 a bowl of noodles, chicken and cooked carrots with a "sauce" of a pat of butter and cheese., sippy of water
7pm bottle of milk

What kinds of table food do you give? He will eat mainly what we have unless it is hard tacos or something. He loves meat and chicken, spaghetti w/meat, mixed veggies ( I buy frozen bags to have on hand for him if we don't have fresh)

Lunch = tuna sandwhich, chicken nuggets (5) or some form of pasta, Veggies or tater tots and fruit w/ juice or water

Snack = one of the above mentioned snacks

Dinner = whatever we're eating or chicken nuggests, grilled chicken & fruit

What is a typical eating schedule for them? =
7:30-8:30 = B

What kinds of table food do you give? = He doesn't like to be fed so pretty much anything that he can self feed. His FAVORITE foods are pancakes, chicken nuggests, pears, lucky charms & meat loaf

Brinlee just turned 17 months, but I'll go ahead and answer your questions to the best of my ability

How old is your child? 17 months

What, when, and how much do they eat? Brinlee eats breakfast when she wakes up in the mornings (around 8am) lunch around noon and dinner between 5 and 6. She has never been a snacker, so she doesn't really get a snack unless we are out running around. She is an eater, though she is pretty small! She loves chicken, veggies, fruit, pb&j, grilled cheese, etc... she does NOT get sweets, candy, chips, chocolate, junk food.

What is a typical eating schedule for them? mentioned above

Do they take bottles? If so, how much liquid and when? Brinlee hasn't had a bottle since she was 10 months old..... we took it away and gave her the Nuby sippy cup at that age

What kinds of table food do you give? Anything we eat, minus some spices.

Snack: 3-5 Ritz Crackers 8 oz of water
Dinner: Probably a 1/4 cup of whatever we're having, spaghetti, chicken & rice, et al.
What is a typical eating schedule for them? see above.

How old is your child? He'll be 16 months on the 5th

What, when, and how much do they eat? Well just like "supa_doopa" my kid will eat all day if I let him its nuts. He usually has 2 eggs in the morning and a waffle (no syrup) then he might eat yogurt or a jelly sandwich banana a gerber cookie then a toddler pasta for lunch (luvs those) chicken nuggets or mac n cheese or whatever else for dinner then when DH and I have dinner he'll eat our food too. The kids a mess lol Whatever i eat throughout the day he has to have too so it just seems like hes constantly eating. I feel bad telling him no but i dont want the kid to blow up either

What is a typical eating schedule for them? 9am breakfast (snak in between) 12:30/1pm lunch -snack- 4:30 5pm dinner then again when we eat at like 7 then his only bottle and hopefuly in bed between 7:30 and 8:30

Do they take bottles? If so, how much liquid and when?he has one bottle at night and honestly doesnt even really seem too interested in having that he'll only drink a few ounces and throw it somewhere. But theyre SUPPOSED to have 2 cups of milk a day

What kinds of table food do you give? whatever he can chew and digestlol (except for like candy and cakes and all that sugary stuff he still eats the gerber snacks) But he loves rice n chicken, pasta, Pizza crust or the bread sticks are his favs lol. Eggs pancakes waffles cereal etc

How old is your child? 16 months

What, when, and how much do they eat?

Breakfast (6-7 am) 1/2 -1 cup dry cereal, 2 oz of whole milk
Lunch (11) 1 cup of fruit always, then something like crackers, toast, bagel, pbj, or mac and cheese, sometimes yogurt too, 4 oz of whole milk
Snack (3) granola bar, vanilla wafers, teddy grahams, crackers, occasionally a "treat" like a pop tart or a few chips (it depends on what the girls I watch are having...he almost always wants a "treat" if they have one) sometimes more fruit
Dinner (6) 1/2 cup veggies, 1 cup of fruit, crackers or some kind of bread or noodles, cheese, 4 oz of milk

Drinks of water when he asks for it

He started on baby cereal at 2 months old and was eating solids for every meal by about 4 months.

Do they take bottles? If so, how much liquid and when? No bottles!!! We took him off the bottle around 10 months when we moved him to whole milk. At breakfast and dinner and for water drinks he drinks out of a REGULAR cup (we hold it for him) I don't care too much for the idea of sippy cups-to me it's too much like sucking on a bottle. At lunch and at snack he gets a tupperware cup with a lid only because I am also getting lunch prepared for 2 other kids and I am not always there to hold a regular cup.

What kinds of table food do you give? Unfortunately our son does not appear to be a carnivore yet (but mom and dad sure are!) so we can't get him to eat any meat. So basically he eats fruit, veggies, and carbs, and drinks milk. The doctor said not to worry too much about the meat since he eats so much fruits/veggies. Since he LOVES them, I still give him baby food sweet potatoes or squash about once a week (just for more variety)
