What do your family and friends think of your involvment in online forums?
My dh used to think I was crazy for reading my forums on my blackberry while we were out shopping and stuff. I noticed he would check this one car forum all the time but never posted or anything so I told him he was a lurker. He actually thought I made that up to only refer to him LOL!! But anyways I made him start posting and lo and behold whenever he starts a thread he likes to check often to see if he got any responses My mom thinks forums are boring and my sister likes this one at least
I don't really discuss it with family, they'd probably lurk just to check up on me. DH doesn't really say anything about it. He's not into forums though. He just goes online to check stuff like hockey scores.
DH only gets online to check the Yankees scores. I don't think he even knows what a message board is, so we dont' really talk about it. He knows I'm a member of JM, but he doesn't know what it exactly is.
Chris always tells me to "get off mommies" ..he is addicted to myspace so he can't say much. My mom is addicted to her knitting forum, she takes pictures of all her new works and posts them, she spends about an hour a day on it (this is coming from the woman who didn't even know how to turn on a computer two years ago)
