My question is does anyone else go to the local Sex Offenders Registry and copy down all the Sex Offenders addresses in your neighborhood and not go to those homes?

My son started going trick-o-treating when he was a year old and is now 3, every year I go to the local Sex offenders Registry and copy down all the addresses in my neighborhood where they live and do not go to them.

We don't have any offenders in my neighborhood. Connor didn't go trick or treating last year anyway. He 'helped' us pass out candy.

That's a good idea though. You can never be too careful.

Nah...it's not like I let my kids go in their house or something. We just walk up for like 2 seconds and leave. And I just think those registries are not accurate anyway, the people have to keep up with changing their address and they never do.

But I agree it is creepy to think there might be someone like that in your neighborhood and you are definitely taking the right precautions if you have alot of them in your area.

My neighborhood is still pretty empty but so far no sex offenders there, yes I have checked but I don't think we will trick or treat much this year because Lauren is a bit more brave than she was last year and I don't want to chase after her in the dark or anything.

We don't have any on the streets where we would go trick or treating, but if we did, I would probably avoid those houses.
