Slept away from you??? We are celebrating DH with some friends on Sat and Gracie will be spending the night over at my parents. This is our first night away from her since we brought her home. Any advice??? Not so much for her, but for a very sad Daddy and Mommy??? I think she will be fine, its us who are sad LOL

I'm no help. Connor's never slept away from us. I'm not ready for that.

Lauren sleeps over at my moms sometimes, whenever I used to worry or not enjoy myself I would just remind myself that Lauren is fine and I'm sure you trust your parents and know that Gracie will be well taken care of. Just call and check in to ease your mind, I hope you are able to relax and have a good time.

No I don't think that I could do it. The baysitter ask one night to keep her because I had the flu and I just could not do it. I knwo in time I will let her but it is just so hard because I feel so much better with her here with me.

Yes. DH and I went out of town for a wedding for one night and my mom came over and babysat her. It went well.

I trust my parents completely. They raised 6 kids and did just fine. LOL I am so not ready for this, but it will be easier. Too hard to keep track especially with a pool around and lots of adults.

Nope, good luck! I can't stand for Natalie to sleep anywhere else yet.

Yes she has spent the night at my in laws several times and everything was fine. She' doesn't sleep that great but other than that she usually has a great time with her cousins (my BIL lives with them while he is getting divorced from the monster of his children...I mean mother of his children.) It bugged me the first couple of times but now it's a little easier.

Carson used to stay at my parents on Friday nights (that was "their" night ha ha), but he didn't sleep well, he likes his own bed, so needless to say, he only goes over during the day now. But, I never worried about him, they are great with him and he loves it over there!

They usually end up having so much fun. Grandparents always lavish so much attention on them. Just knowing isn't enough though is it? I know it is so hard and there is nothing we can say that will make it easier for you. But once you've done it once and know that she had a great time it'll be easier if you ever have to leave her with them overnight again.

You'll do great. You're a big mommy now! This is a huge step. Way to go.
