My DD, Ava, sees the opthamologist every 3-4 months. Her vision is getting worse. Right now it's about 20 500 uncorrected, 20 250 corrected. Very farsighted.

How bad is this?

I wish I could tell you sweetie. My DD Angelica is also farsighted and she was just given glasses to wear. Does your DD wear Glasses too?

first off its almost impossible to get an acuity on a child under like 3. If they can't rad the chart they can't do it, and even when they first start the picture style acuity chart its still easy to get it wrong.

as far as what 20/250 means. She sees 20 feet like a "normal healthy" eye sees at 250

are they putting her in glasses? it will help. If you want good glasses solo bambino glasses are raved about on the aphakic sight. They are suppose to be well made and sper comfy for them also sturdy and pose little risk in flattening the nose. Glasses can hurt the bones in their noses because they are so soft.

Avery does not have an acuity since she is so young but she can see arms length

Thanks for the replies. She's been in glasses for over a year.
