Hello all, Im new to this thread but not to jm. my name is Crystal mom of 2 boys Ellis is 3.5 and Braylon is 17 months(10-20-06)
my concerns are for Braylon, I posted in the autism board but didnt get much so i thought i would post here to see wht u ladies thought..like i said hes 17 months and so far he says mama and dada but babbles quite a bit..hes not big on clapping or playing peek aboo dont point to objects but he comes and pulls me to what he wants if hes thirsty hell pull me to the frige or his chair if he want to eat. he does and is starting to understand more of what we say. im waitging to get an appt for an evaluation done but it seems to take for ever.. and being new to this im not sure of all the developmental delays that are out there but im thinking that bray may have one..he has great eye contact, and i know he can hear but theres time where u can call his name and hell just act likhe dont here u...please ladies if theres anything u can help me with ill be greatful..thank u and sorry for the confusion in the post...
sounds like my son at that age. everyone told me not to worry but i trusted my instinct and had him evaluated by and early steps program. he receives early intervention services now. im not saying there is anything wrong with your son but early intervention is so important if I were you id look into it.
