Hi everyone! I didn't even realize there was a board for this topic, so I'm thrilled to have come upon it!! My name is Tania. I'm 38yo and the proud mommy to a beautiful almost 2 year old boy, AJ. He was very recently diagnosed with PDD/NOS by the County's Early Intervention Team. The only words he says right now are dada, mom mom and I think, Car. He is speech delayed and also will be getting cognitive therapy. I'm happy to be here and look forward to getting to know you all! Thanks!

Welcome! My name's Missa and I also have an amost 2 year old who is speech delayed and a bit "quirky". Her name is Harper and her brother's name is Dominic and he's almost 4. Dominic was diagnosed with Autism when he was 3. He's also non-verbal. Any questions or concerns you have or venting that just needs to be done, you've chosen the perfect place for it.

Hi Tania, I'm Crissy, 37, mom of 5. My almost 7 year old Angus has autism. He was about 2½ when we realized something was up with him. He was still not talking at that point; EI immediately got us started with signing and PECS which helped immensely.
My almost 2 year old, Kate, and your AJ are both February babies. I think I've seen you post in our Playroom recently. Welcome!

Thank you so much for the welcome! Crissy, I've found some great boards on the JM website and I've been trying to visit lots of them. Happy day early birthday to Kate!!

AJ will be starting his EI therapy sessions very shortly. I just got off the phone with the Coordinator who is in the process of setting up AJ's teachers according to our availability, etc. He will be having 8-10 90 minute sessions a week. I'm excited for him!! I really look forward to getting to know everyone here. It's the toughest thing to see your child struggling. Thanks again!!
