April is coming up which means Autism Awareness Month.. Do you have any special plans for this month?
I'm looking forward to my first walk for Autism awareness.. This will be the 2nd year this walk has been held in my area.. It is going to be nice to connect with people in my area that are going through similiar things..
I even bribed one of my friends to join me.. lol I said she can push A.J in his stroller while we walked.. My friend just adores A.J.. She's a mom of 3 boys (and one girl) so loves how much attitude they have at such a young age..
Hosestly don't think they do anything major around our area here. I only learned this year that there is an autism awareness month and here April 2nd is specifically autism awareness day. I probably never noticed because im only really aware of autism since my two were diagnosed just under 2 yrs ago. My DH and I have decided that for april we will change all our outdoor bulbs to blue ones, something really small but hopefully will raise some awareness in our area. Things never go un-noticed around here and someone will always have to find out, if you know what i mean.
Great idea on the bulbs.. We'll do the same here too..
Justine - The sign up is expensive, it will be just A.J, my friends, and I.. What's nice is the money we give them is going towards Autism awareness.. Makes it worth it.. I believe the sign up date is until April 1st..
Also, on March 28th - Pizza hut in your town Justine is teaming up with our local Autism Awareness group.. Any pizza bought on that day, 20 percent of the proceeds will go towards Autism Awareness.. I may be going there to pick up pizza that day..
