Your Kids and Fall

Do your children enjoy....

1. Splashing in puddles in their wellies?

2. Crunching in or throwing the fallen leaves?

3. Fall foods - parkin, treacle toffee, pumpkin pie, etc?

1. Splashing in puddles in their wellies? He would splash in puddles naked if I'd let him lol. (Kieran not as much, it would make her "dirty" ha)

2. Crunching in or throwing the fallen leaves? I think they would both love it but Seamus hasn't done it since he was 1.5yrs old and Kieran never has. We don't have any trees in our neighborhood and don't get down to the park with the big oak trees often enough in the fall.

3. Fall foods - parkin, treacle toffee, pumpkin pie, etc?
Parkin a cake of oatmeal and molassas? No Seamus would not eat it, he can't stand oats. Kieran probably would though, just not something I've ever heard of over here.
Also never heard of Treacle Toffee, but I dont think they'd like it. Well I know Seamus wouldnt' touch it with a 10ft pole.
Normal Peanut Toffee, which normally starts popping up in stores for Thanksgiving/Christmas the kids love as do I.
I dispise Pumpkin Pie but Seamus actually likes it, Kieran is indifferent. I prefer apple pie.
Seamus loves Turkey and Ham (recent developments, started with Turkey at Thanksgiving last year and Ham at Christmas, first time he actually ate them!) so those are his fall favoites. He's still pretty picky on what he eats (like no mashed potatoes even)

Oh yes!

2. Crunching in or throwing the fallen leaves?
He could take it or leave it.

3. Fall foods - parkin, treacle toffee, pumpkin pie, etc?
Not any of the traditional things. We made some chocolate cupcakes which we decorated like spiders last Hallowe'en though, and Daniel enjoyed both making and eating them. I must locate the recipe - it's here on JM somewhere - so we can do it again.

Do your children enjoy....

1. Splashing in puddles in their wellies? My son does!

2. Crunching in or throwing the fallen leaves? yep, my son loves that too, Kat is indifferent.

3. Fall foods - parkin, treacle toffee, pumpkin pie, etc? We don't do those "fall foods" especially because of how we do Thaksgiving. Fall is a time of getting cookies ready and dunking everything I can think of into chocolate.
