This is a real post!

I have posted before about Daniel's extremely limited diet. It was getting worse and worse with no hope of improvement, but I *think* (don't wanna jinx it!!) we have FINALLY turned a corner!

We were at Chester Zoo in the half-term holiday and Daniel wanted a lunch box, but I pointed out to him that all that was in it that he would eat was a cheese sandwich - he wouldn't have the carton juice, or the yogurt, or the fruit. He'd been "off" yogurts for several weeks, and even before that would only eat strawberry, and I pointed out that all the zoo had was raspberry or apricot. He really surprised me by saying "I'll have a raspberry one." So I especially asked the assistant to make sure his box had a raspberry yogurt. He ate the sandwich and the yogurt and a chocolate brownie AND a grape out of the fruit bag! I ate the rest of the fruit as a snack later and had the drink. I was SO pleased with him!

And, it seems, HE was really pleased with the praise he got and the fuss I made, because since then he's been back on yogurts (only strawberry or raspberry, but believe me, that's progress!), he's asked for and eaten jam sandwiches, carrot sticks, and also baked beans which he hadn't eaten for years!

I wonder whether he was just so bored of his limited diet that he figured it was time to try something new. Whatever caused it, I am SO glad!
