I am new to Justmommies. Since ym daughter was 3 months old I knew that she was just falling behind. Never would I thought at 10 months we would still be working on holding her head up. She had a MRI done and they said she had thinning of the corpus callosum and delayed myelination. The mylenation can change and continue to develop till the age of Two. The thinning of the corpus Callosum will not change. When reading about it, it is the area of the brain that transfers signals back and forth and the long term effect are either unknown or really depend on each individual case. If anybody know anything about that this topc, please let me know. The wait and see game from the Drs are so scary.

We have lots of dr. Her next follow up with the neurologist is April 4th. She was recently hospitalized for high fever with seizure which she is prone to. There is not much information on it. :-(

Hi, I am going through something similar with my daughter. She is 7 months old and we just had an MRI done which revealed delay in myelination and borderline for her age corpus callosum. Have you gotten any answers or seeing progress. Like you, I am having a hard time finding anything online about this. Hope your daughter is doing well!
