It's been since June when we started IBI therapy, speech therapy and the DAN! protocol. What an amazing 10 months it has been. My son's fine motor skills are above normal. His speech is finally at 50%tile (89%tile for receptive language), he was at 10th percentile last year. He is going to still receive speech therapy due to high risk for regression. We are still working on his social skills. In June of last year he had a huge bubble and would get angry if any peer would invade his space. Now he parallel plays with peers with no issue. However he rarely plays with peers. But we are working on that with him.
He still has his allergy issues and this year has been hard on him. When he is sick, he regresses back to where he was one year ago. So due to him having 4 ear infections this year, we had tubes placed back in his ears. We also had his tonsils and adenoids removed. I hope this will be a piece of his puzzle that helps him. Thankfully he has a high pain tolerance so the surgery hasn't been that bad of a recovery for him.
So far our journey has been amazing. I'm most impressed by the DAN! doctor.. Learning what foods set him off and cause his eczema, etc. I also know what caused my son to be sick for so long.. Who would have thought whey would be the issue. No wonder even the expensive "allergy" free formula's never worked.. Poor kid can't have any kind of milk, other then rice.. But it's nice to finally have answers.
