Here are some activities to do with our kids today.

12 to 24 month activities
**Practice blowing bubbles
**Get a shovel and pail and go outside and dig in the dirt. If you don't have these you can use a spoon and whatever you have around the house.
**Read your favorite book

two to three year old activities
**Show your child his/her name on paper.
Then go outside and practice drawing her name in the dirt. See how many letters she can do.
**Play a game of animal charades see how many animal sounds she knows
**Go outside and collect flowers. See if she knows the colors of them. You can also count them when you get home.

three to five year old activities
**Work on letter M today. Find things around the house that start with letter m. Practice making the mmm sound and idenitfying the letter
**Read the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear (or if you don't have that read another book with colors in it
**Practice drawing and coloring balloons and smiley faces

These are some daily activities for us to do with our kids that are age appropriate. You may have to adjust the activities or do an activity for a younger age range. Please post here what you have done today. Even if its not something on the list. I think this will help us all in trying to do more developmental activities with our kids.
