Do you choose what your preschooler will wear for the day or does he/she help pick out their clothes?

Having girls...they like to "help" to choose what to wear. Sadly, Vanessa choose an outift today that just didn't go. The top was a little short and her undershirt showed a bit...but it was a My Little Pony shirt and once she had it one she was not going to take it off! She won that battle. And then the 'skort' that goes with the top definitly needed stockings so I had to beg her to put on stockings under it. Hey! It's a mere 57 degrees outside today!

Anyhow, I try to pick out the outfit or at least give her a choice. From there...I pick my battles.

I make outfit piles in her drawers so that in the morning she can choose but she picks the whole pile, not just one item from it.

She does pretty well over all matching. I lay choices out some days and let her choose when we're in a rush.

I have a boy so he doesn't care about what he wears. I pick it out but he puts it on. He gave up letting me help years ago.
