Does your child love to hug and kiss on you or do they push you away? Do they do it spontaneously or do you have to ask?
What about to other close family/friends--like grandparents--do they willingly give hugs?

~~~
Troy is very affectionate and will come up and just give hugs and kisses whenever he feels like. Including Granny and aunts.
Will--he's a different story. He's fine if he initiates cuddles, but doesn't necessarily like it if you go to him and hug him
It really depends with Leah. Normally, she will push us away, but if she's in "baby mode", she will snuggle for hours. I wouldn't otherwise encourage the baby mode, but I love to snuggle with her.
She'll always give her grandparents hugs when she sees them (we see them once every month or two) and most of the time she'll hug her godparents (who are basically her grandparents on my side), but she also likes to give them "props".
Jacob is an affectionate little boy. He gives hugs and kisses freely to anyone that wants or may need one. He just gives them usually, but on occasion I ask.
Lucas is very affectionate with DH and I, but with other people he wants no part of them even touching him. He gives hugs/kisses freely to DH and I and on occasion I do ask for them but even if other close relatives ask the answer is usually no.
Affection comes on his terms but I do still try to lavish him with hugs and kisses because they're not little for long. He does not willingly give hugs to anyone outside of our house but occasionally will when asked. He has actually recently started to give kisses to DH & I....well for a grand total of 5 between us but to us that is HUGE.
Natalie can be but it just depends on her mood.
Lots of hugs & kisses for me and also a few select family members. She takes a while to warm up to people that we don't see often, which is fine by me. I don't push her. The other day a very good friend of mine (that she doesn't see often) asked her for a hug, and she said no, even after I told her it was ok. I was actually very proud of her for standing her ground when she didn't feel comfortable.
That is good that she did. I have a cousin who basically forces their children to hug everyone and it's very awkward because they may not know everyone well. Troy will do the same if someone asks and I never force it either
