What do you plan on getting your child for Christmas? Do you stick to a budget or just buy what you think they'll want (within reason of course)?

We'll stick to a budget this year but they are both getting toy forklifts and I have no idea what else

My boys have been into dinosaurs for so long I wish they'd move on already I think we own every dinosaur ever made. Thankfully they are asking for some rescue vehicles and things like that. We tend to put a cap on what we want to spend but we also don't want our kids to expect a lot. We buy each of them 3 gifts from us and three gifts from Santa the we buy them 3 joint gifts from us and 3 joint gifts from Santa. The rest come from family and friends.

I have no clue what she is going to get. She has so much stuff already. She is so into Barbies and baby dolls, and she always likes lip gloss and craft supplies. I haven't tried sticking to a particular dollar amount in the past, but should probably try it this year.
