My 5 year old had a half day yesterday and when I picked her up she complained of a belly ache.
When we got home, she said she wanted to curl up with me so I could make her feel better.
So she did, and then she started "Tooting" as she calls it. I didn't think much at first, but she just kept on! I Finally started counting, during the 30 mins that she layed there she "Tooted" like 50-55 times!!!!! I was amazed, I asked her what was making her "Toot" so much and she said she couldn't stop "Tooting". Finally after a half hour she said her belly felt somewhat better and got up to play. I heard even more "Toots" while she was playing!!!!
She is usually gassy but never "Toots" this much!! I don't know how her little belly held all that hot air!!!! Anybody else have a 5 year old that "Toots' this much? I dont know if its normal or not and it has me worried.
Any imput would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

My kids haven't gone through this so not sure how much help I can be.

Does she have regular bowel movements? I know when I'm constipated, I tend to toot more than when I'm not.

You may be surprised the things our kids can hold and do. My 4 year old was so backed up with poop when she was 2 years old, that her colon was the size of an orange, and it's supposed to be the size of a penny. So yeah, she could hold in a lot of poop. Maybe your DD has a virus or just ate something. It's actually really good that it's coming out and making her feel better. I would only worry if this continues for a few days like that.
