what are the methods you used to keep your children interested in potty learning?

my son's interest in potty learning has gone up and down from 18 mos when he first started showing interest and we bought him his own little potty through now at 3 years when he has made it through several days (not in a row) dry in underwear.

despite that awesome recent progress (for which we praise him profusely), his interest is waning again and he is resisting going potty at home (but is fine going at day care where his peers are now all potty trained as he is in the preschool room since he turned 3 3 weeks ago).

we have already tried stickers as a reward. they inspired him for about 2 weeks and then he was done with them. so i need a few different ideas to try over the next few weeks.

thank you for any suggestions you have to offer.
