So the owners came back and wanted money to transfer on August 22 and us to take possession on August 29th. We, along with our lawyer, said no way. These people are nuts, who knows what they would do with "our house" in a week. We said money transfers on the 27th of August and we take possession on the 29th. Two days is standard time to get all the conveyance done I guess.

They have apparently accepted that, although we haven't heard back from the realtor today. This is driving me nuts!

On the upside though, our lawyer said since we have signed deal with all restrictions off, if they bail and try to back this up again we can take them to court. They would have to pay all our legal fees, storage/rent/board for the horses costs since this started and as well we could get the profit if they sell it again for a higher price. Made me feel a little better.

So here's hoping they get their stuff together and we can get this house!

Well, I hope things work out for you and you don't have to go through the hassle of taking them to court!

They are crazy to want one full week for a transfer?!!?! Crazy.
