that JM has a Home Organization Plan for us?
I"m so in need of this. I have Fly Lady'd many a times without lasting success.
My house is a disaster and I am going to try this one out for a while.
Anyone else in need and up for a challenge or must I go this alone?
You can click on the monthly calendars on this page too and it will boss you around on a daily basis! The page I'm linking here even has space to add additional mundane tasks to your life. C'mon!!!

This is exactly what we need! I will join you, so you won't have to do it alone!
DH and I ran errands yesterday and this is the conversation I had with him. This is great because it gives us some direction, so I will definitely be using it. Thanks for the post!

Can we start a sticky if we get enough people?

I'll join in - My house is a mess as well and we built and moved in more than 5 years ago so about time. I am very good at making the outside public parts look presentable and shoving stuff in closets/laundry baskets to deal with later. Something I clearly remember my mom doing as well. Would like to break that cycle with my kids.
We cleaned out the freezer part of the fridge this morning so on my way I guess.

I dropped out of fly lady a long long time ago, lol. I'm up for trying, but I admit I have terrible motivation even though there is clutter everywhere. Yarg. If it's easy enough and little baby steps I might be able to....
Okay I just read it... I'm in. I can't make promises.... but I'll do it. Though I am skipping the master bedroom, I cannot even wrap my brain around that one (worst room in the house right now).

I need to do this too. I already broke (ok never started) my new years resolution of cleaning 10 mins each night after Juliet goes to bed. :sneaks: So I may not be very good at it...
and yeah I'm all for it being stickied

I got so excited that I even started making lists of things that need to get done around here. I have so much decluttering to do it's not funny...scary really.
Natalie: We can hold each others hands while taking teeny tiny baby steps.

Oh, I'm definitely in too. The main parts of our house are fine, but the basement & bedrooms are another story.

Funny...those are the parts of our house that need major work.
DH is responsible for the basement (his home office) and it's a disaster. He apologized to the babysitter yesterday for the messy basement on our way out the door. I get in the car and ask him why he apologized to her. He says, "Because you brought her into the house that way because of the snow blocking the front door" (our basement is half of a converted garage attached to the house). No, I didn't. She came in through the door off the kitchen. So, she would have never seen the basement and now he made it known that are basement is a disaster!! Men!

^ Ha...that's something I would do too. I've pulled over for a speeding ticket when I saw a cop before. Not because he pulled me over, but because I saw him. I'm a confessor.
Anyway...I got started on this program today. I failed on the bedding change because during the 2 hour melt down I had to cocoon G into my bed with the lights off and he's still here with me now. I have to change them a couple of times a week anyway, so I'm ok with that. Back on track tomorrow and then we shall stickie too!
I also made more lists for each room so that I can stay focussed during the decluttering times.
Did anyone else tackle anything today?

Yesterday I was at work but I did make sure the kitchen was tidy before going to bed!
Sunday eve I cleaned out cupboards and drawers in the kitchen. No idea why. I got tired of all the crud sitting on my counters, I guess.

This weekend I cleaned the kitchen (appliances, drawers, wiped down cabinets). Yesterday, I was at work. Today I'm working from home so the sheets and towels are getting washed right now.
I'll let you know later if today's task get accomplished!

Way to go ladies! I don't get much done beyond the basic stuff each day (dishes, wiping down counters, etc.) - the weekends is where I spend my cleaning/decluttering time. I'll be able to report on my progress then.
My goal was to spend 10 minutes each night after Mark goes down and work on a section, but the last few nights he's been so hard to get down. I think once that 2nd top tooth comes in he'll go back to being easy to get down for the night. (please, please, please)

So far, I've gotten the sheets and towels done, cooked a bunch of food for Sophia for the week and now going up stairs to clean the bathroom. Kitchen is clean and house is somewhat picked up. It's suppose to snow heavy tomorrow night, so hopefully Thursday will be a day at home and I get can more done. How's everyone else doing today?

hmm well I got my pump stuff and bottles washed while DH gave Juliet a bath, and I unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher before they got home since I didn't hit any traffic tonight. Soon the load of towels I washed two nights ago will be done drying (they werent quite dry yet so I put them on for more time, plus they'll be warm), so I"ll be folding them.. that's more productive than usual for me

Awesome. I'm so impressed with myself right now I can hardly stand it.
Even though G has not been a very happy person I got a lot done today.
Vaccuumed main floor, cleaned both bathrooms, cleaned baseboards in kitchen and bathrooms (hmmmm...think I should do this more often in places), changed bedding and towels, laundry (this one kind of goes without saying around here though), washed all of the dogs stuff as it was weirding me out...plus we saw our therapist and I chatted with the paed. My OH did kitchen cleaning and baby bathing plus helped me with the vac. He got all inspired to get on this cleaning routine too so that always helps.
