What are your Thanksgiving weekend plans for the Americans? For anyone else... doing anything special this week or weekend?

Tomorrow we'll be at the in-laws for lunch-ish time then heading to my aunt's by 3:30 or so to see my family and for dinner. At midnight I think I'm going to be at Kohls doing my xmas shopping, then Friday during the day my mom, sisters, Juliet and I are going to the mall (hopefully after the biggest rush dies down). Then Saturday we have our neighbor's 3rd birthday party at a inflatable indoor play thing. Sunday hopefully we can relax! busy busy weekend. Oh and DH will be gone Friday and Saturday to go hunting with my mom's boyfriend.

The birthday party with the inflatables sounds like fun... Hope Juliet enjoys it!

We will be at the in-laws for lunch, and also cooking a Thanksgiving dinner at our house for my side of the family. Busy day ahead... I would love to get out and do some Black Friday shopping, but not sure if that is going to happen.

We are going on a dinner cruise for Thanksgiving dinner. SIL is a chef and has to work, so we are going on her boat. I really wanted to cook and do the traditional thing this year but no one asked me. **pout**

I know we're going to MIL's sometime tomorrow.... I really don't even know what time, when we're eating, when we're coming home, and if we're going to see his dad later. My DH kind of sucks at planning things.

No real plans for Thanksgiving. DH's parents are doing a small dinner at their place, but it's an hour away and Elliot has to work. My friend Wendy is coming over and I'm making pot roast, (no way am I doing a turkey for 3 people, and I'm sick of chicken) au gratin potatoes and apple turnovers. And I'm totally cheating on those and using frozen puff pastry.

We used to do huge turkey days with groups of friends but many of them have moved away. Last year we tried to do the family thing but got a flat tire as soon as we pulled out of the garage and since it was snowing we threw in the towel. This year I've decided to have an awesome lazy day rather than scramble to find something to do.

As I type this I'm waiting for the broccoli casserole to get done so I can go to bed! We are going over to my MIL's for dinner. Not sure what time. I did all my cooking today so all I have to do tomorrow is warm it up.

We took a 4 hour drive to my grandparents for the day! It was fun but ROUGH. The drive down there wasnt so bad, and Xander had so much fun playing with all his cousins and all my family on that side hasnt met him yet! The drive back was looooong. Xander didnt nap while we were there and pretty much refused to sleep on the way home. We got back about a hour ago and I just got him to sleep!!!! Overly tired, cranky, irritable! I like seeing my family, but thats rough on a toddler!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Just a regular weekend for us. We were supposed to be heading to a kids Christmas party on Sunday but Isobel is not feeling so great so we will see.
