We had our first round of pink eye over the holiday. Friday morning we woke up and his left eye was swollen, puffy, red and completely crusted over!! Seriously it looked like i clocked him one square in the left peeper. It was nahsty. He got a really bad fever about a hour later, bad enough he was shivering and wouldnt stop until I wrapped him like a burrito in a big fleece blanket and set in front of our heater. I knew it was time to go to the hospital.

Turns out he had pink eye AND an ear infection, which the pedi said can happen together. Poor guy! He didn't sleep right all weekend until last night. But now that's over and done with!

But now I have the zombie pink eye... I've gotten sick more often in the past 3 months or so than I have in the last three years! had to take a day off work because I work really close with other people and neither I or my boss wants pink eye all over the office.

Gotta love kids. <3

My kids have never had pink eye (totally knocking on wood!!). But I do feel the pain from the ear infection! I just took Avery and Mason in today, suspecting ear infections and sure enough...both of them have DOUBLE ear infections! That would explain why nobody is getting any sleep around here!!

Ugh...just the mention of pink eye makes me want to go sanitize my hands!

Hope your little man feels better quickly and the eyes clear up!

We did a few rounds of pink eye early on but (knock on wood) have been all clear lately.
