I saw this one posted yesterday but hadn't gotten a chance to read it yet.

ew ew ew. I'm terrified of potty training. At home, I am not as worried. I'm terrified about leaving the house. Diapers seem way easier for that

Juliet is starting to show some signs. Daycare is gung ho about it. The little girl a few months older than her is working on it. Juliet thinks toilets are awesome. I keep saying "no no no" in my head.

My god, I hadn't even thought about that. We aren't going anywhere after she is potty trained. I can't even go in a public bathroom, unless I am drunk and even then it grosses me out so bad. Ewwwww.

Haha that's hilarious Zoe's used public toilets fine. I don't worry about her legs touching the toilet seat... That bit of leg isn't going to come in contact with her mouth, so I just don't think about it

Public bathrooms totally gross me out. The more I think about the details of it, the more I wanna barf. I'm so proud of Avery because she has now mastered the wash your hands, get a paper towel and use it to pull the door open, trick!

As far as the boy peeing issues...instead of having the kid do acrobatics to pee, why not just have him sit on the toilet with a toilet seat liner??? I realize it's for the sake of humor mostly, but it's not THAT hard!

I'm not that concerned for home or daycare, but I'm definitely not looking forward to public bathrooms with Mark.

I saw that one on FB yesterday. So funny, but SO gross! I despise public bathrooms, and avoid them at all costs. Guess I'm either going to have to get over it, leave E in diapers forever, or never leave the house.

Interesting Erin! Some germophobe like me must have invented that. I still wonder what you do with it after it's been sitting on the public toilet seat though. I would have to clorox wipe the crap out of that thing before I'd allow it back in my bag. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the design.

Those Potettes are awesome!!! I have kept one in my car for several years now. It's perfect for those toddler emergencies that can't wait two minutes until you get wherever you are going!

I don't carry one in my diaper bag for the EXACT same reason! It totally grosses me out. Almost more than the public toilet seat in the first place! Lol. If I'm in some public bathroom with the kids and it's beyond nasty filthy, then I'll just bring them out to the car to use the Potette. Pretty handy!

^Oh! So you don't have to put it on top of a toilet to use it? I think I get it now.

Ditto!!! I have no problems potty training at home.... I think that will be just fine with Kate. but going out... having to rush to bathrooms.... try to get her to use strange, tall toilets..... uggggg just no.

And I don't have much issue with public toilets. I mean I realize they're not always the cleanest, but eh a few germs don't bother me, I wash my hands. I just don't like pooping in public when there's someone else in another stall. That's just awkward. Pee, however, that's fine.

Pooping in public is totally awkward! My BIL won't poop anywhere but his house. We have seriously been on vacation with him for a four day weekend and he will literally not poop until he's back at home. I don't know why I felt need to share this? Maybe to make myself and other public bathroom phobes like me feel better.

You can use it like a little free standing potty that you put bag liners in (tie up the bag and throw it away) or you can put it on a toilet.

Ya know what's awkward? When your kid is on the toilet at a public restroom, and she does a massive fart! I want to yell out - it was the baby not me!!!!

I guess i'm the total child here... because I think public pooping is hilarious. I'll make sound effects for comic relief, if i'm bored.

Probably just a side effect from years of working in places where there was no private bathroom (well, we have one but it's a long walk). Anyways in most places i've worked the bathrooms are cleaned really often. They're probably cleaner than my bathroom at home... but like everyone else I prefer my own butt germs.

Anyhow i'm gonna go for the paper liner/having a boy sit to pee angle. In fact i'm not going to teach him to stand until he's much older (before school of course). When he's mastered the basic principles and has adequate peepee clearance. We'll keep some cheerios by the toilet to toss one in for a target to shoot at. Once he can drown a cheerio 9 out of 10 times i'll unleash him on the world and he can pee on... errr... in... everyone else's toilet.

Oh yes, I have a plan.

No what is SUPER awkward is when DH takes DS to go to the bathroom. DS sits on the pot and then starts yelling at DH... "Don't look at me. Look at the door, look at the door!!!" Sounds like some freaky deaky stuff going on in there!

You guys are hilarious.
My favourite moment was when I had my niece in there with me and she yelled out "You have a really big bum Auntie!"
To be honest she sounded impressed.
