So:
What did you find in the Washer today?
And what's the worst thing you've found in the washer?
Me - today rockets and an orange peel. Ew.
- the worst - my cell phone.

Oh dear.
Last week I found a pad. (I wear light ones cause I pee when I throw up.) Ew, waterlogged grossness.

I'm so happy I only found a dime when doing laundry tonight. Worst things would be chapstick!

Nothing. But Grant had put three toy trains and a pacifier in the dryer.

I hate finding food in there from those bibs with pockets...eww.
My old phone went through and came out working perfectly. I must have a great spin cycle. If I ever have another drowned cell I'm actually going to put it through the spin cycle in my robe pocket (that's where the other one was) before I try all the rice tricks etc.

The random pen from time to time. The worst wasn't in the washer but dryer... DH forgot to take an earplug out of his pocket after a drill at the firing range.... We had weird orange streaks on clothes for almost a month.

Nothing good recently, but my worst discovery was when DH did the laundry and accidently grabbed Avery's crayon apron that was totally full of crayons. Of course they managed to make their way into the dryer as well and the entire load was covered in a rainbow of colors. NOT good. And to make matters worse, the whole load was all new clothes I had just bought for Mason! Way to break em in!

An exploded pen is the worst thing recently, courtesy of DH. E puts random toys in her laundry bin all the time so it's not unusual to find a block or something in the washer.

DD likes to put things in the trash. This morning I found a DVD (Grinch) and a Tupperware container.

Oh no! We had to relocate our garbage for this reason. Well this, and garbage picking.

I pretty much always search all pockets, so beyond a few random coins I thankfully don't have surprises in the washer.
The worst was years ago a roommate had gum in his pocket and it got all over the dryer. I gave him rubbing alcohol and let him clean it all up. He NEVER did laundry again without checking his pockets.

Oh, Natalie. I choked on my water when I read this! Is it that you pee when you puke or that you puke enough to have to do preventative maintenance?
I pulled a wad of Q-Tips out of the dishwasher once. The W/D is not a problemo for the most part because DH has trained me well.

I learned my lesson about checking pockets when a brand new pack of gum made it into my BRAND new dryer! I made DH scrub it out!
I find coins, hair clips, etc. Kaily recently made a huge mess with beads in her room. When I went to do her laundry her clothes were covered in them! I still hear some rattling in there sometimes...

I recently got a washing machine, and it's an old one so I haven't found anything weird in there yet! My dryer is outside on the back porch (old house, washer hookup is inside, dryer is outside) so Xander can't really get in there.
I've found a pen once, and a few lighters (my fault, yea I smoke....outside!!) but that's it so far!!

Linzie - for a second I freaked about your dryer being outside - like how could anyone do that to a person - and then I noticed - South Carolina

Definitely preventative maintenance. LOL I never know when the pukies will hit.
