I really thought what I ordered would be at my house by now... but it's not scheduled to be here til Friday. So I will be mailing Saturday or Monday and it should be received by my recipient by the end of next week, I hope.

Bev: Crazy isn't it! The worst part is that it's all from our side of the border. Often it's cheaper to ship to the US, than within Canada. It angers me to no end.
I'm shipping mine from Florida this year...and I actually just finished making it today.
Danielle: I've never managed to get mine wrapped in the past and then feel badly when our beautifully wrapped gift arrives. It usually gets to a point where it's just better for it to arrive at all, then to arrive late and wrapped.

LOL...it's totally fine! Trust me, the 19 month old could not care less about wrapping paper! All he wanted was his Cookie Monster!!

Wow, really? That's insane. Shipping isn't cheap down here either though. But I am DREADING mailing the package to my parents... it's easily going to cost $60 to ship it to them in Canada. Ugggggg.
[not doing exchange this year, so I'm just watching, lol]

I used to participate in swaps where someone would mail me something for $1.67 (or about that) and to mail it back to them it cost me just over $6.80 . So same package...going same distance, through same two postal systems...riddle me that.
This means that we charge less for the US to use our system than we pay for it ourselves.

I've had such a hard time getting to the PO with finals and work. I'll be shipping mine out tomorrow-I've been trying to find time to wrap it but if I can't tonight then I'm just sending it. I'd rather it get there on time, so sorry if it shows up in a box and no pretty paper

What I couldn't figure was that they charged me one thing but the receipt that goes on the package is a 4 dollar difference. Not sure if that's some sort of handling fee or not? yeesh!
oops, mine's not wrapped either cause I was squishing it all in a mailer.
It unfortunately is missing some ears as well as one of my grade 1's got busy with the scissors with my yarn at recess.
