I got a super simple foam ornament kit from Hobby Lobby for E to make "presents" for the grandparents. We also have some foam sheets and big self adhesive winter foam shapes. I take the sticker paper off the back and she puts it where she wants on the foam sheet. There are lots of cute things I've seen done with baby handprints and paint if you're willing to get messy. Like painting the hand green and making a wreath by putting the hand prints in a circle. Then maybe some red on a fingertip put around the wreath like ornaments.

Here's one I have on my Pinterest board

Craft Rookie: Christmas in August

I've seen people do these on plates etc. from those paint your own pottery places as well.

According to our Pediatrician this is also a time when stringing beads is really important. I'm sure that he wants a piece of Juliet jewelery.
Fingerpainting...and then frame it?
Framing anything she's done really.
Does he have an office or desk he could put something like that in?
Paperweight hand print?

I can't find beads that are big enough to not be major choking hazards. Anyone else have this issue? I don't want to pay a ton for some fancy "kit".... I just want some cheap beads for her to play with.

I love the handprint wreath idea!

I love doing the kids' hand prints in plaster. You can have it be an ornament or frame it.

We did these adorable handprint ornaments last year Full of Great Ideas: Five fingers snowman ornament, and I plan to do the same this year. We'll do them at daycare, I'll help Kim with all 3 of them. It'll be a great gift, and it's very inexpensive. We picked up plastic red balls to use, so we didn't have to worry about little hands squeezing too tightly and breaking them.
