Whoa. I don't even know how it happened, but I stumbled upon this awesome blog chock full of ideas for toddler activites. Anyone seen it? I have no idea how anyone has the time or energy to come up with all this stuff (oh wait, all the contributors are former teachers and have degrees in early childhood education...) but I'm so stoked to try some of this stuff out. My favorite part? This list of resources for art supplies and equipment. I have gift ideas for the next 5 years at my fingertips!!!

Am I the only one who gets ridiculously excited about stuff like this? I think I was meant to be an elementary school art teacher, but that sounds hard. I'll just play with my kid instead.

Very fun. I want to say maybe Casey pointed us to this at one time...but I could be wrong.
Speaking of that...where is she?
I too have a kid's craft love.

I'm here! I've been on FB a bit, but this time of year is so crazy...crazy fun but crazy! One of my preschool teacher friends posted the gel beads and light on Pintrest, but I don't remember the rest of this stuff. I would just love the containers. We actually have most of this stuff, it's just all unorganized. Where do you get them? I'd love durable ones, but I'm not keen on paying $100 for them.

I love these ideas! Thanks!

Oh P.S. My mom is an elementary art teacher-I had a blast growing up! Though I have to admit this is more crafty than my mom could stand. Maybe you should be a kindergarten teacher!

That's awesome! We don't have space for "stuff", but we have a small back yard, and a mild winter. I could probably get an outdoor storage shed, and put a heap of crafty things in that, and do activities outside... hmm!

I love it! I want to some how, get warm water to come out of our hose so we can just hose DD down at the end of her messy times. I don't think DH would go for hooking it up to the water heater though....

Great ideas! For later. I'm still trying to find simple things to occupy her now... things that aren't a giant mess. LOL Like no glue... or sand.... or water...... lol

Ditto. I'm not that brave at this stage! Once they are able to do crafty stuff on their own without constant supervision is when I start.

I'd stay away from the liquid water colors from Discount School Supply... Lets just say I have more than one shirt that got tossed after using them at Head Start.

I want to finger paint with Coby and have some but have been to scared to do it. Some night I might strip him down to his diaper and just go for it in the tub.
